Saturday, January 15, 2005 * (9) back in action...

Ahhhhhhhhhh... the first post of Year 2005!

Judith has been complaining that my blog is so boring and that nobody's tagging! Yep, it has been 14 days since I last blogged! Everyone has also been bugging me to update! Hmmm... school has started and these people are still so free to blog, check-out other people's blogs, post tags and chat online?? NO HOMEWORK arhh??

Aiyah... how to blog? I was really so 'suay' to fall and injure my left hand on New Year's eve night. I'm a leftie you know and I need my left hand to do everything and anything! As the pain was unbearable, I went to the Chinese sinseh the next morning but he told me to get an x-ray done. Phew!! I was very relieved when the A&E doctor told me I did not fracture my arm... I certainly don't want to end up in a cast, like poor Jonathan! The good doctor said I had probably torn some ligaments and muscles when I stretched out my hand to break the fall. Then I felt even more pain when I had to part with 70 hard-earned dollars for the x-rays & some panadol tablets!

AND did I mention that the radiographer was going to take x-rays of my right hand instead of the injured left hand?? The man at the x-ray reception counter had incorrectly printed out 'right hand' on the job request form!! #@^!)@&+~ What if a patient is already under anaesthesia in the operating theatre?? Who will answer to this unfortunate patient if the surgeon 'chops' off the wrong organ or limb??

It's been 2 weeks, but the arm & shoulder still hurt. I can't lift my hand up to a horizontal position without the support of the right hand! I can't stretch it high up above my head yet! Now I know how handicapped people feel... it's totally frustrating because you feel so helpless and useless!

Hah... now I know those stories about the one-armed swordsman are all bullshit! I think these so-called pugilistic superheroes are truly non-existent!! Louis Cha is definitely a fantastic story-writer with loads of creative juices and tons of crap!!
