(153) i will survive...
A clean house is a sign of a misspent life.
Housework done properly can kill you.
Help keep the kitchen clean - eat out.
My next house will have no kitchen...
just vending machines!

(152) desperate housewives...
Yep, that's what BTG's mum and I are ever since both our maids flew off 2.5 weeks ago. But hers will be back in 4 days' time while mine is only returning in early January!
Chicken chop for dinner last Sunday! How many for dinner? Laogong, 4 of my own, 3 nephews, 1 niece and me! Desperate times call for desperate measures!
No cooking over a hot fire for me! Just microwave those boneless thighs! French fries? Why bother? Get those pre-packed mashed potato powder, add hot boiling water and some butter and stir. Salad? That's chicken (pun unintended) feed! Simply julienne white cabbage, purple cabbage and carrots with those modern kitchen gadgets, pour in a bottle of coleslaw dressing and mix well! And thank god for campbell soup - it's every housewife's 'you-can't-go-wrong-with-the-taste' soup! The garlic bread to go with the creamy mushroom soup? Pop into Delifrance (there's always one nearby) and get them to do up one!VOILà! A yummy dinner for 8 hungry kids, Laogong and the cook!

(151) survivor...
In an exotic tropical island just south of the equator, an exciting challenge awaits the modern Singaporean female. Bleah... is Singapore an exotic place? Anyway, in this little red dot where the citizens are overly reliant on imported foreign labour of all sorts, we have the local version of a very popular tv series...
In this local production, the Singapore female undertakes the daily grinds and drudgery of housework. Life's little ironies... the superwoman at the office struggles to complete the chores which her foreign domestic helper accomplishes so efficiently?! She's an expert at office politics but on the homefront?? She schemes to get her kids to complete some of her tasks but does she succeed?
#`$@^%*&+^! The kids had formed an alliance! They all sang the same tune when I asked if they had swept the different areas of the home allocated to each... MUST THE FLOOR BE SWEPT EVERY DAY? Hello?! Are you going to let the grime and dust accumulate?

(150) maid in singapore...
Hahaha...this is not a sequel to 'Maid in Manhatten'. Any similarity to Jennifer Lopez is all in the bottoms! Hey, I think mine's better than hers!
Our domestic helper flew off late last night for a well-deserved vacation. The last time she went off was for 3 weeks but this time, I gave her 4 weeks. What was I thinking?! Today's my 21st wedding anniversary AND I'm gonna be a maid for today and 27 more days?!
BMM: Ok guys, you've got to make your own beds, help out in the house etc etc etc.
KIDS: How much are you paying us??
BMM: How much are you paying me?? >.<
Woaah... here I am, blogging away. So, it can't be that bad... yet?! Yep, I had prepared breakfast, washed and hung up the laundry and swept downstairs. Ok, ok, I'll sweep upstairs and prepare lunch after this.
Hey, Emily's up already. I can't believe it... so early? That's because Laogong's youngest sis and family flew in from Brisbane last night and are staying with us and she doesn't want to look bad! Em's the only one at home. Judith slept over at BTG's home last night, Ben's in camp and Jon's at one of his many holiday camps. Hahaha... I'll get Em to sweep the bedrooms!
Dinner?? We are eating out because......
1. It's my 21st wedding anniversary today.
2. It's Bosco's (BTG's brother aka my nephew & godson) birthday today.
3. Laogong's youngest sis and her family are here.
So, my family, BTG's family and Laogong's youngest sister's family will have a little celebration before sending Laogong's sis to the airport. She and her husband are going off after only 1 night in Singapore as they are backpacking in Italy for 3.5 weeks. But her 2 boys are not going and will be staying with me.
NO COOKING TONIGHT! YAYYYYYYYYYY!
