(114) normalcy...
School finally reopens today.
So it's back to some form of routine for everyone.
No more long hours glued to the screens - tv & computer.
No more nagging to go to bed early, except on weekends.
I'll just need to nag about their assignments and revision.
Normalcy = Sanity?
I bet you didn't you know this: 'Too much sanity may be madness'
And how about this? 'Sanity calms, but madness is more interesting'

(113) are you or are you not?
Today, upon a bus,
I saw a very beautiful woman.
And wished I were as beautiful.
When suddenly she rose to leave,
I saw her hobble down the aisle.
She had one leg and wore a crutch.
But as she passed, she passed a smile.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have two legs; the world is mine.
I stopped to buy some candy.
The lad who sold it had such charm.
I talked with him, he seemed so glad.
If I were late, it'd do no harm.
And as I left, he said to me,
"I thank you, you've been so kind.
It's nice to talk with folks like you.
You see," he said, "I'm blind."
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have two eyes; the world is mine.
Later while walking down the street,
I saw a child I knew.
He stood and watched the others play,
but he did not know what to do.
I stopped a moment and then I said,
"Why don't you join them dear?"
He looked ahead without a word.
I forgot, he couldn't hear.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have two ears; the world is mine.
With feet to take me where I'd go.
With eyes to see the sunset's glow.
With ears to hear what I'd know.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I've been blessed indeed, the world is mine.
Just a simple reminder that we have so much to be thankful for...

(111) murphy's laws...
AND THE TOP 5...1. If something can go wrong, it will.
2. If anything simply cannot go wrong, it will anyway.
3. Left to themselves, things tend to go from bad to worse.
4. If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.
5. Smile... tomorrow will be worse.

(110) i not stupid...
At times, we nag
At times, we scold
At times, we shout
At times, we just shut-up
That doesn't mean adults are ignorant fools all the time
We have eyes
We have ears
We have brains
We don't spy
We just know

(109) busy, busy, busy...
I had been busy during the first 2 weeks of the school holidays. In fact, every day had been busier than a 'normal' school day that I had no time to surf, blog-hop, tag or blog!
What is this life if, full of care
We have no time to stand and stare.
No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.
No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.
No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars, like skies at night.
No time to turn at Beauty's glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.
No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.
A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

(107) broken promises...
I broke my promise not to nag during the first week of the school holidays.
Well, Emily did her finger-nails this morning before going out for a movie.
I saw her in my bathroom just now, taking the polish off because she has a meeting at school tomorrow.
Use my nail polish...
Use my polish remover...
Use my cotton puffs...
She had the nail polish on for less than 12 hours!
Her maternal grandpa was so right when he nicknamed her 'ai-mei-li'!
And she had the cheek to remind me about my promise...
