(241) faith...
Today's sermon touched a little too briefly on faith. So, what is faith? Well, I think it is best summed up below....
The teacher was going to explain evolution to her class of six-year olds. She started off by asking one of the little children:
TEACHER: Jimmy do you see the tree outside?
JIMMY: Yes.
TEACHER: Jimmy, do you see the grass outside?
JIMMY: Yes.
TEACHER: Go outside and look up and see if you can see the sky.
JIMMY: Okay. (He returned a few minutes later) Yes, I saw the sky.
TEACHER: Did you see God?
JIMMY: No.
TEACHER: That's my point. We can't see God because he isn't there. He just doesn't exist.
A little girl in the class spoke up and said she wanted to ask the boy some questions. The teacher agreed and the little girl asked the boy:
LITTLE GIRL: Jimmy, do you see the tree outside?
JIMMY: Yes.
LITTLE GIRL: Jimmy do you see the grass outside?
JIMMY: Yessssss!
LITTLE GIRL: Do you see the sky?
JIMMY: Yessssss!
LITTLE GIRL: Jimmy, do you see the teacher?
JIMMY: Yes.
LITTLE GIRL: Do you see her brain?
JIMMY: No.
LITTLE GIRL: Then according to what we were just taught, she must not have one!
BURN!!!!!!!!!!!

(240) MIA...
I can't believe I had not posted for more than a month! My friendster is dead while my facebook is zzzzzZZZZZZZ! And please don't take offence if I don't reply cos I don't check hotmail regularly either.
Many people tell me I've got loads of time on my hands now that the kids are old enough to take care of themselves! Yes, I'd stopped tutoring them eons ago. Lately, I'm no more a 24/7 chauffeur though occasionally I ferry the kids (if 17 to 22 year olds are still considered kids) about. Oh yes, i still do a bit of nagging on and off 
So what had I been so busy with? Errmmm.... I blog-hop, tag boards here and there, read the news, check-out the stock market but mostly, I visit my favourite forum. Hahahaha, if you want to know what forum it is.... Well, besides trashy romance novels, I have always loved mystery and detective novels. So this forum is about a real-life still unsolved 'whodunit' police case!But hey, in between all these surfing, tagging and being an amateur armchair detective, I DO do real work!
